Rebecca Schmidt came to Reading Partners after eight years of teaching in DC Public Schools. She received a bachelor’s from Grinnell College, Iowa, and a master’s in education from George Washington University, and taught in traditional public, bilingual, and charter schools in DC. In each context, Rebecca helped guide students to become successful advocates for themselves and their communities, beginning with a strong foundation in literacy. Rebecca has worked as a program manager and senior program manager with Reading Parters since 2014, and is excited to serve even more students and schools in DC this year.
