Whitney Hiner

Senior Program Manager

Whitney Hiner joined Reading Partners in 2012 to help launch the program in Colorado. For six years prior to joining Reading Partners, she taught third and fifth grade in New Jersey and Colorado. During this time, she developed a passion for teaching literacy, initiating the formation of and leading a collaborative committee of educators focused on improving K-5 literacy instruction school-wide. Whitney is also the Colorado Council International Reading Association chairperson of the Foreign Affiliate/Colorado Project Exchange Committee, which supports teacher exchanges and literacy efforts abroad. She earned her B.S. in Communication Studies from New York University and her M.A.T. in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey. Whitney has an Early Literacy Graduate Certificate from University of Colorado Denver.
