Expanding literacy access in Los Angeles
Reading Partners first expanded our program from our Oakland headquarters in 2008, bringing our effective, affordable, and community-driven solution to the literacy crisis to the Greater Los Angeles area. Powered by community volunteers, our individualized tutoring provides equitable access to personalized literacy support that encourages students to develop a lifelong love of learning.

Direct tutoring
Our direct tutoring models includes high-impact, individualized tutoring for students in both in-person and online formats.
Our volunteer-driven model engages community volunteers to support students in developing mastery of key reading skills. Volunteers are trained to implement our evidence-based curriculum rooted in the Science of Reading.
