Transforming to an enthusiastic reader

April 30, 2015

by Transforming to an enthusiastic reader

Danielle Caldwell relocated to Seattle two years ago to pursue a degree at Washington State University. As an english major she’s deeply invested in both education and reading. She loves volunteering as a reading partner and says, “it is very rewarding to know that just one hour of my time can help a child become a more proficient reader and successful student.”

Beyond the satisfaction Danielle feels as she watches Charles succeed and grow as a reader, she is  inspired by her student. She has witnessed his transformation from an apprehensive and unenthusiastic reader to an animated reader brimming with confidence. Danielle’s commitment, encouragement, and patience have been invaluable and transformative. We can’t wait to see where Charles goes next!
