About Reading Partners

Reading Partners empowers students to succeed in reading and in life by engaging community volunteers to provide high-impact one-on-one tutoring. As we dive into the new school year, Reading Partners anticipates needing approximately 11,000 community volunteers nationwide as well as hundreds of AmeriCorps members to support the literacy development of nearly 9,000 students through tutoring and an additional 6,000 students through other literacy support services.

Reading Partners delivers a highly effective, evidence-based program that has helped tens of thousands of children master the fundamental reading skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Since its founding, the national nonprofit organization has mobilized over 80,000 community volunteers to provide more than 2.7 million individualized literacy tutoring sessions to more than 75,000 elementary school students in over 500 under-resourced schools across ten states and the District of Columbia.

Launched in 2013, Reading Partners Tulsa operates in 24 elementary schools and supports more than 1,000 students annually. Visit www.staging.readingpartners.org, or connect with us on InstagramX, and Facebook to learn more about how Reading Partners is helping improve student literacy in Tulsa, and how you can help children in your community improve their reading skills and succeed in school.
