Run for Reading Partners race results are in

April 25, 2016

On February 16, Reading Partners Baltimore launched the second annual Run for Reading Partners campaign with the ambitious goal of engaging 50 runners to help raise $10,000 for the 2015-16 program.

Fast forward two months to this past Saturday, April 16, when 45 runners outfitted in navy blue shirts emblazoned with the Reading Partners logo took to the streets to run the Under Armour Sole of the City 10K hosted by Charm City Run. These 45 runners helped exceed our goal by raising $14,407! In addition to the 45 runners, 20 Reading Partners volunteers assisted Charm City Run with their race-day needs, and four sponsors pledged their support to Reading Partners.

However, Run for Reading Partners is more than a fundraiser. These past two months have been humbling to the Reading Partners team as we’ve seen old and new faces come together to advocate for and support our city’s struggling readers.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our many donors, runners, and volunteers. We’d also like to extend a special thank you to our sponsors: Charm City Run, Hord Coplan Macht, Iacoboni Site Specialist, zTrip of Yellow Cab of Baltimore, and Vita Baltimore.

The Run for Reading Partners campaign is open till May 16 if you’d still like to contribute.
