Alissa Ganser
Alissa’s passion is focused on providing the highest quality education to children from low-income families and regions. For over 15 years prior to joining Reading Partners, Alissa was a classroom teacher and administrator, including six years with KIPP Baltimore during a time of extensive growth, and three years teaching US history and policy in higher education. In addition to her school-based experience, Alissa conducted whole school analyses for struggling Oakland city schools as the evaluation manager for the Alameda County Office of Education, researched education issues for the Abell Foundation, and managed multiple volunteer programs with the Volunteer Center national network. Alissa holds a master’s degree in public policy, focusing on urban education, from The Johns Hopkins University, is a certified school administrator, and has an advanced professional teaching certification in secondary social studies.
