Crystal Asare-Mensah

Before joining Reading Partners, Crystal spent 6 years as a classroom teacher, teaching grades 5-8 in Title I Schools and the KIPP charter school program. Upon leaving the classroom, Crystal embarked on a career in professional development. Crystal led trainings for new, emerging, and experienced teachers on incorporating literacy instruction across content areas and effectively teaching English Language Learners in traditional classrooms. Crystal earned her master’s in organizational development & leadership from The University of Oklahoma and is certified in secondary school administration, middle level english, and secondary history (5-12) by the State of Oklahoma. Crystal is fueled by her love of literacy, writing, and supporting student success.
