Elizabeth Whitson

Elizabeth has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a multiple subject teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach. Before joining Reading Partners, she was a classroom teacher for ten years, including teaching at Title 1 schools in Compton and Richmond. She also taught first grade in India and China. Elizabeth loves reading and loves to teach children to love reading. In her role as program manager she enjoys being able to work with students, community volunteers, and AmeriCorps site coordinators. Elizabeth’s favorite children’s book is Piggie Pie.
