Jennifer Cleary

Jennifer Cleary comes to Reading Partners from the San Francisco Unified School District where she worked on transforming student supports for high-needs school communities through the Community School Strategy. Prior to that, she ran literacy and enrichment after-school programs in Chicago, and worked for many years as a teaching artist, bringing interactive learning experiences to under-resourced schools in New York City. One of her favorite children’s books is Sylvester and the Magic Pebble by William Steig because she loves how it highlights the importance of creative thinking and close-knit families. Jennifer manages the reading centers at Alvarado Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, Leonard Flynn Elementary, Sanchez Elementary, and Sunnyside Elementary.
