Jill Olson

Jill comes to Reading Partners Sacramento after making a cross-country move from Massachusetts. She was born, raised, and educated in the Bay State, and spent four years teaching seventh grade English language arts there. She took a hiatus from working directly with students to gain experience as a project manager at an educational production, design, and development company. With a move to California approaching, she decided that it was time to reconnect with learners, and was immediately drawn to the Reading Partners method and mission. In the course of her first year with Reading Partners, she has fallen in love with Sacramento as well as her work with its future leaders in literacy. Jill works directly with AmeriCorps members in our reading centers to ensure tutors and students have everything they need to be the best Reading Partners they can be!
