Jourdan Ringgold

Jourdan is a California native with almost 10 years of experience with AmeriCorps. She earned a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development from San Francisco State University. During college, Jourdan served as an AmeriCorps member with Jumpstart where she supported preschoolers with literacy and kindergarten readiness. After college, she served as an AmeriCorps member full-time with Reading Partners, supporting students in South Central Los Angeles. After completing her years of service, Jourdan continued her work with literacy intervention in Los Angeles and earned her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Reading Partners South Carolina, Jourdan was a program manager for City Year Los Angeles where she managed a program that supported students with academics and socio-emotional learning as well as coached and developed AmeriCorps members through their years of service. She is very excited to join Reading Partners South Carolina to continue her work in education and service.
