Monica Chan

Monica was born and raised in Sacramento. She attended Alice Birney Elementary, Sutter Middle School, and McClatchy High School before moving away to Seattle for college. She is passionate about equity in the education system and culturally relevant curriculums. As an aspiring community organizer, Monica likes to read, write, reflect and grow her creative capacities. Sacramento public schools hold a central role in her upbringing so she is excited to support the Reading Partners team in service of our local students.
