Naomi Shachter

Naomi is thrilled to work with Reading Partners after serving two years as an AmeriCorps site and volunteer coordinator. She graduated with distinction from Stanford University with a major in comparative studies in race and ethnicity and a focus in public service. Her community-based honors thesis research explored how ethnicity, race, class, and neighborhood context shape students’ understandings of service and civic engagement. Naomi’s passion for service and education have led her to work with youth of all ages in Madrid, Cape Town, California, and northeast Washington, DC.
