Nicole Johnson

Nicole Johnson

Prior to becoming executive director for Reading Partners, Silicon Valley, Nicole was development director for both the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area regions. Before joining Reading Partners, Nicole was the managing director of external engagement for Citizen Schools California, where she led the region’s first ever benefitED. She was also the executive director of the Burlingame Community for Education Foundation for six years, in which time the Foundation tripled their fundraising. She is a proud Teach for America alumni, having taught eighth grade language arts and reading in Alum Rock School District for three years. Nicole graduated Mills College cum laude with a bachelor’s in English literature, and holds a multiple-subject teaching credential and a single-subject teaching credential in English. She lives in Burlingame with her two children, Olivia and Beckett, and enjoys spending her free time doing yoga, reading, and cooking.
