Rachel Roberson

Before joining Reading Partners in 2012, Rachel taught reading and writing for 11 years in classrooms throughout the world. She began her love of literacy instruction in Cameroon, West Africa where she taught for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. In 2003, Rachel helped found KIPP Bayview Academy in San Francisco, where she spent five years as a lead teacher and administrator. After moving away from the Bay Area, she taught middle school humanities in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Austin, Texas. Her favorite children’s book is The Endless Pavement by Jacqueline Jackson and William Perlmutter.
