Valerie Moyer

Val is originally from Reston, VA. In 2014 she graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in English. Val is passionate about literacy and views reading both as a foundational skill for learning, and an important discipline in its own right. After graduating, Val worked at a policy program at the Aspen Institute in Washington, DC. She is extremely excited about the opportunity to share her love of learning with students through Reading Partners Charlotte. Val loves outdoor adventures of all kinds and her favorite childhood book is Thundercake by Patricia Polacco.
